Heber was a graduate from Graysville High School and was inducted into the service in the Spring of 1944 and went overseas in the fall. Two brothers are in the service, Staff Sergeant Harry Piatt, who has just been returned to the US from Alaska and Cpl Forrest Piatt, who is with the American Forces in France. Mr and Mrs Thurman Piatt have six other sons and daughters, two sons scheduled for induction and a son-in-law in the service. Heber is buried next to his brother Harry Eugene Piatt. |
